26/10/2011: POLE AND PHOTO-FINISH FIGHT FOR THE VICTORY IN SPA FOR MATTEO BOBBI 23/10/2011 - Matteo Bobbi lived a weekend as protagonist in Spa (Belgium), theater of the final round of the Belcar Endurance Championship 2011. The Milanese champion, at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 lined up by team Vita4One together with Frank Kechele and Nico Verdonck, set the pace in qualifying establishing the pole position and laying the foundations for a positive result in the race. During the race everything went fine with Bobbi ending the second stint at the lead; the shorter time needed by Porsche to refuel unfortunately allowed Goossens and Suolet to get the lead during the last pit-stop and to keep it until the chequered flag in a photo-finish end with the number 52 Ferrari in second position for only a few thousands. Matteo Bobbi: "In Spa we finally had a weekend free of unvafourable episodes where all the potential emerged that often remained unexpressed during the season. The fight for the victory was decided in the last few meters of a thrilling race but I am happy anyway for ending 2011 on the podium".
